Low silicon ferro silicon is an essential deoxidizer in the steelmaking industry. In the process of steelmaking, ferro silicon is generally used for precipitation deoxidation and diffusion deoxidation; brick iron can also be used as an alloying agent in steelmaking. Adding a certain amount of silicon in the process of steelmaking can significantly improve the strength, hardness and elasticity of steel, and at the same time can increase the magnetic permeability of steel and reduce the hysteresis loss of transformer steel.

1. Low ferro silicon can replace some ferro silicon alloys to deoxidize and increase silicon and iron, effectively control the temperature of molten steel, and do not affect the absorption rate of other alloys during use.
2. It can reduce the amount of ore and scrap steel, and ensure the normal heating rate of molten pool metal, so as to realize less slag steelmaking, reduce lime consumption and increase metal yield.
3. Low silicon iron is used as an inoculant and nodularizer in the cast iron industry, and as a reducing agent in the production of ferro alloys.
